3rd - 5th July 2026
A gentle creative online retreat for people who want to slow down reconnect with creative activities and bring small acts of paper based creativity into your everyday life
We’ll be dipping our toe in to writing, drawing, sketching, mark making, calligraphy, poetry and journaling
The goal is to help people to connect [or reconnect] with their creative selves- in small snippets of time using their notebooks, journals and sketchbooks so it’s easy to fit a little time for themselves and their creativity into their busy lives.
Words ~ Marks ~ Thoughts
I have 3 umbrella topics
Words ~ Marks ~ Thoughts
I’d love you to make a short [around 20 minutes] pre recorded workshop that participants can follow along with based on one of the three topics, I’m keen to include journaling, calligraphy, poetry and lyric writing as well as sketching, mark making and doodling or anything else that you think will work with the theme of the retreat and help people to connect with their creative selves in small slivers of time.
Presentations would be pre-recorded so no need to be totally ‘on’ during the event, although participation in the Facebook group with attendees around the time of your presentation - answering their questions etc would be very much appreciated.

Meet Your Host
Hi, I’m Michaela - Founder of Blue Stiggy
I make handmade notebooks and journals which I personalise on my vintage typewriter Dorothy
Even as a designer, sometimes i’ts hard to find time to play, experiment and just be creative for the sake of being creative.
This online retreat is 3 beautiful days, immersing ourselves in creative activities through words, marks and thoughts - just doing something because we can - exercise our creative muscle and slowly remembering why we love doing something creative
